Did you know that as well as a woolly mammoth there was also a woolly rhino? Me neither!I also didn't know that velosiraptors had feathers, early whales were eel shaped and 280 million years ago, there existed a shark with a circular saw of teeth in its mouth! I also discovered that I have a fear of giant birds which lead two a few dreams about getting attacked by pterodactylus, hesperornis and omithomimus while reading this book。 Despite the nightmares, I found this absolutely stunning book com Did you know that as well as a woolly mammoth there was also a woolly rhino? I also discovered that I have a fear of giant birds which lead two a few dreams about getting attacked by pterodactylus, hesperornis and omithomimus while reading this book。 Despite the nightmares, I found this absolutely stunning book completely fascinating! It's full of incredible facts that left me feeling rather small and insignificant, but that didn't deminish my enjoyment。 It's definitely more suitable for younger readers。 While the information is interesting and informative, I was left with so many questions, which I'm not sure would have occurred to me had I read it when I was younger。 I'd love to find a book that is somewhere between this book and a palaeontology text book, that will fill in the blanks without too many complicated words。 I would definitely recommend this book to anyone looking for an introduction to dinosaurs and prehistoric life。 I hope I am able to read it with my son when he's a little older。 。。。more
